Sesame Oil & Chili Paste Edamame

  • 6 cups water
  • 10 ounce frozen edamame
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp sesame oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp soy sauce


  • Boil edamame in 6 cups of water with 1 tsp of salt added
  • Add in 10 ounces edamame and boil for ~5 minutes (or until edamame is tender and rises to the top)
  • Heat sesame oil in a small skillet over medium heat. Add garlic, season with salt and pepper, to taste and saute for 2 minutes. 
  • Add edamame and saute for 1-2 minutes and mix with chilli paste and soy sauce.
  • Serve as a snack, appetizer or a side to a meal & enjoy!
