Orange & Hazelnut Cranberry Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 12 oz bags Fresh of frozen cranberries
  • 2 each Oranges (juiced) and make zest out of peel for garnish or can use 1 cup orange juice with pulp
  • 1/3 cup Hazelnuts (chopped)
  • 1/4 cup Sugar (Can also swap for honey if you prefer that)

Instructions

  • Place cranberries, orange juice, and sugar in a medium-sized saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the cranberries have popped and the sauce is thick, about 7–8 minutes. If the mixture seems too thick, add another 2–3 tablespoons of orange juice or water.
  • Add 1/2 cup of water into sauce pan.
  • Cook, stirring occasionally, until the cranberries have popped and the sauce is thick, about 10-15 minutes (may depend on the size of your saucepan). If the mixture seems too thick, add another 2–3 tablespoons of orange juice or water.
  • Remove from the heat and stir in the hazelnuts.
  • Cool before serving.
  • Add orange zest as garnish.
