Frequently Asked Questions
I’ve never seen a dietitian; what can I expect?
We are honored to be a part of your journey! We like to take a whole person approach which means there is a lot for us to talk about. In the first session, expect to discuss your story when it comes to food and exercise, medical history, as well as your current self-care habits and goals for our work together. In follow-up sessions, we will work collaboratively (always celebrating the small wins!) to help you meet those goals with compassion and support.
How often would we meet?
This all depends on your individual needs and the reason why you are seeking nutritional counseling. The frequency of visits will be determined together in the first few sessions. Most clients work with us weekly, biweekly, or monthly.
How long do people typically work with you for?
It varies! We provide individualized care and recognize that each person has unique needs and may require a different level and length of support.

Do you only work with individuals who have diagnosed eating disorders?

Additionally, although we specialize in eating disorders, we work with a range of clients interested in improving their relationship with food and their body and take a non-diet approach to help with the management of other medical conditions such as gastrointestinal disorders, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease.
